Our mission is to develop and provide educational programs to the community so that adults can receive the highest quality education, training and support services to obtain and retain meaningful, permanent employment.

Since 2007, HITEP Inc. has been offering career training programs to help adults compete in today’s changing job market. We pride ourselves in the success of our students.  Every year we see hundreds of students graduate, get good jobs and improve their quality of life.

We work to create programs that are consistent with the needs of the adult learning community. We currently offer a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program and a Training for Employment & Retention.  Our CNA course is taught by highly qualified nurses and healthcare professionals. The Training for Employment & Retention is equally led by certified and highly qualified staff.

This powerful idea is what the National Retail Federation supports and promotes every day, through advocacy, communications and education. Retail helps drive our economy, and NRF exists to serve retail and help it grow. For that reason HITEP has partnered with NRF to provide training under highest standards, using the Retail Operations book : The Customer Service and Sales Fundamentals to prepare students and individuals prepare for professional certification exam.

  •             The Small Business Administration (SBA) is a United States government agency that provides support to entrepreneurs and small businesses. The mission of the Small Business Administration is “to maintain and strengthen the nation’s economy by enabling the establishment and viability of small businesses and by assisting in the economic recovery of communities. Small businesses contribute to local economies by bringing innovation to their community, providing employment opportunities, and attracting talent who invent new products or implement new solutions for existing ideas.

                Serving a broad range of Rhode Islanders from various backgrounds, HITEP has become a high functioning vocational preparatory training school serving the fields of nursing, customer services, computer/digital skills, ESL, and job development skills. With many of its students testing well above state averages, HITEP have seen hundreds of their students get good jobs and improve their quality of life.

                  For their demonstrated success and potential for growth as a minority-owned small business, the U.S. Small Business Administration is pleased to honor as the 2015 Rhode Island and New England Minority-Owned Small Business of the Year.

  •            In commemoration of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics Initiative’s (Initiative) 25th anniversary, the Initiative made a national call for nominations for Bright Spots in Hispanic Education with the goal of highlighting the ongoing efforts that are taking place across the country, at the local, state and federal levels, to support Latino educational attainment and excellence.   •               The mission of the Office of Rehabilitation Services of RI is “to empower individuals with disabilities to choose, prepare for, obtain, and maintain employment, economic self sufficiency, independence, and integration into society”. The outcome expected from the provision of all vocational rehabilitation services, including supported employment, is integrated competitive employment in the community at or above the prevailing wage.

                ORS approves programs/services based on the provider’s ability to provide services through appropriately qualified staff and a commitment of the provider agency to assist individuals with disabilities to reach community integrated employment goals consistent with the Individualized Plan for Employment. HITEP has been one of the most important allied to provide those services to the Hispanic population and others in RI since 2008,  helping the community with Training, Job Development & Placement services.

  •               The RI Department of Labor and Training DLT offers employment services, educational services and economic opportunity to both individuals and employers. The purpose is to improve working conditions; advance opportunities for profitable employment; and assure work-related benefits and rights trough several programs, departments and vendors associated. One of those programs is WIOA.

                 The Rhode Island State Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Office is responsible for oversight, monitoring and policy of the WIOA. Rhode Island’s two workforce boards, Workforce Solutions of Providence/Cranston and Workforce Partnership of Greater Rhode Island are responsible for delivering services to Adults, Dislocated Workers and Youth. HITEP, as a service provider, has been partnered with DLT to provide the community with training and employment related services



  •               Following a big  vision, The Department of Human Services of Rhode Island is  an organization of opportunity, working hand-in-hand with other resources in Rhode Island to offer a full continuum of services for families, adults, children, elders, individuals with disabilities, and veterans. The main goals are :

    • Adults are healthy and reach their maximum potential
    • Children are safe, healthy, ready to learn and reach their full potential
    • Elders and individuals with disabilities receive a full continuum of services to enhance their quality of life
    • Veterans are cared for and honored

                The Department of Human Services Rhode Island Works (RIW) Program, in alliance with HITEP as a service provider, offers assistance, and help finding job training or a job. HITEP provides Certified Nursing Assistants(CNA) and Customer Services (CS) as Job Development & Placement services.

  •                The Rhode Island Indian Council is an organization dedicated to helping improve the quality of life of our native community. With the help of one of our dedicated Employment and Training Councilors, you can start to expand your educational and career horizon.

                  RIIC & HITEP have established an strong alliance to serve all those who are unemployed or underemployed help with  education, and training leading to employment. Including but not limited to payment for tuition for  Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)  or Customer Service (CS) classes or  any other employment led training programs, we are focused in provide the best service to our native community.
